Olexa Casanova is an artist and designer with over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry, having worked with leading brands including Marc Jacobs, Kith, John Varvatos, and Calvin Klein under Raf Simons.
He later turned his focus primarily to painting, which has become the core of his creative practice.
Nature is a central influence in Olexa’s work. His paintings blend abstraction with recognizable forms, drawing inspiration from ocean and mountain landscapes to explore texture, movement, and atmosphere.
Olexa’s work has been exhibited in Catskills institutions such as the Music and Art Center for Greene County and the Phoenicia Festival of the Arts.
His artwork has also been featured in fundraising charity auctions for Ukrainian relief organizations at the Sunflower Gala, held at the Ukrainian Institute of America, in Manhattan.
He lives and works between Brooklyn and the Catskill Mountains.
